The Kimbo story starts in 1963 in Naples, the beating heart of the Italian region of Campania when the Rubino brothers - three entrepreneurial young men - joined their father’s bakery business. Sensing the advent of coffee’s popularity, the brothers began selling it in the bakery. Legend states that the inebriating smell swept the streets of Naples and propelled the bakery to gradual fame.
By 2011, Kimbo had become one of Europe’s largest coffee groups, roasting approximately 35 million kilos per year and serving prestigious clients in over 40 countries. Kimbo continues to be a point of reference in the coffee world thanks to its attentive selection of beans, unique blending methods, and outstanding flavours. Today, Kimbo represents the finest coffee in Naples, the espresso capital of the world.
Kimbo’s excellence begins through the careful selection of raw beans sourced from South America and Asia. Kimbo pays great attention to the selection of green coffee, working directly in the countries of origin through a network of trusted suppliers and business partners. Full traceability of all production and Quality Management Systems Certification ensure that the coffee is sourced and treated with respect to the environment.
Kimbo works tirelessly to produce coffee that offers the same outstanding taste in every cup thanks to constant flavour testing that benchmarks against taste rather than blend ratios.
Kimbo offers 11 different top quality blends: Limited Edition, 100% Arabica Top Selection, Gran Gourmet, Prestige, Extreme, Premium, Superior, and more. Each one is available in different formats: beans, grounded, pods or capsules.

Kimbo was the first coffee company to adopt the vacuumed tin can in the 1960s. The tin helped preserve the body, flavour and aroma of the coffee while curbing oxidation. This allowed them to export their coffee far beyond the Italian borders, leading them to become a pioneer coffee exporter across the world.
